Preeday – Tallpree celebrates 20 years!

Wilt Cambridge, better known as “TALLPREE” was born on 29 July 1973, on the lovely Spice Island of Grenada. Originally known as Mr. Evilus, Tallpree has been on the music scene since 1991 performing dancehall. He was the opening dancehall act for many artists such as Super Cat, Maxi Priest, Barrington Levy, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer and Buju Banton.

His mega successful hit “Old Woman Alone” in 1999 brought him recognition in the soca world and Tallpree had everyone swinging their elbows left and right acroos the Caribbean. He won Road March in Grenada in 2000 with his next hit “The Grave, The Jail and The Hospital”, and in 2003 Tallpree was crowned Soca Monarch in Grenada with “Carnival Maddness”.

Tallpree has placed third in the International Soca Monarch in Trinidad and Tobago and performed this year in Trinidad with Nadia Batson and again competed at the Soca Monarch competition. He was recently on Toronto Revellers truck in Canada singing his Grenada Carnival 2011 release “Jab All Over”.

Tonight he celebrates his 20 years in the business. Should be a treat!
