I know it’s not Carnival, but it’s a parade with costumes (and steel band) so I’m all for it! Anything that people dress up for, play music and have a time for is great in my book.
This year marks the 39th Annual Village Halloween Parade in New York. Every year thousands of people crowd the streets of the village for the annual parade. You will see lots of interesting costumes and people if you can brave the dipping temperatures of NYC in the late fall.
This year’s Parade is today Monday, October 31, 2011 7 p.m.
All Those in Costume are Welcome to Join Hundreds of Puppets, 53 Bands of Different Types of Music, Dancers and Artists, and Thousands of other New Yorkers in Costumes of their Own Creation in the Nation’s Most Wildly Creative Public Participatory Event in the Greatest City in the World!
