Most major cities throughout North America and Europe are familiar with Uber. Uber is a car ride application that can be uploaded to your Iphone or Android device. The app allows you to submit a request, and then it selects the nearest Uber driver, allowing the driver to receive the location of the customer and accept the trip.
Although Uber is available in 66 other countries worldwide, Trinidad & Tobago is the first English speaking Caribbean country to be added to its ranks on Monday, January 16, 2017.
Initially the service will only be available for passengers requesting service out of Port of Spain and San Fernando, but you can travel to other areas of the country once picked up. The base fare for a ride begins at $20.
