Luton Carnival

Luton Carnival began in 1976 and it is one the most exciting multicultural events held in Luton. The Carnival which will be celebrating 41 years this May on the last May Spring Bank Holiday.

The Carnival happens on the streets around Wardown Park with the highlight always being the fabulous costume parade which includes revellers, and large music trucks in the customary tradition of Caribbean Carnivals. The  floats  circle the park and are judged on Old Bedford Road. Surrounding the park are also booths with vendors selling various foods and crafts.

The Carnival is great for all music lovers and you can hear a combination of  Reggae, Samba, Soca, Afrobeats in addition to other world music.  For more information on the Carnival check out their website.
